(x) Mercia, Beornwulf (823-825), Penny, 1.25g, 6h, East Anglian mint, Eadgar, eronvvlf r., legend starts at 7 o'clock, around diademed and draped bust right, breaking solid inner circle, small cross on breast, rev. + ead + rar, around beaded circle containing small cross pommée (Naismith E22.2a this coin; N.-; S.-), edge chipped below bust, crack along left side of bust (daylight) and other splits, fine, the only specimen recorded by Naismith.
