(x) Stephen (1135-54), Penny, 0.98g, Local Variant, Facing Bust / Cross and Fleurs type, Northampton, William, crowned and draped bust facing, collar of pellets, rev. + pillemi: on: nor, cross pattée, annulet at centre, inward facing fleurs in angles (BMC 176; Mack 69 same dies; N.896; S.1300), toned, very fine, very rare, only four examples of this type of all mints recorded by Mack.
