Bearing a depiction of Trinacrus, a son of Neptune who's name likely derives from an alternate name for the island of Sicily (Tinacria = "three corned land"), this very rare type struck for Julius Caesar by the proconsul of Sicily Aulus Allienus when Caesar's forces came to the island during preparations for the upcoming assault on the army of Pompey in North Africa.
