King on horseback left, holding sword over shoulder; CAROLVS D G MAG BRIT FRA ET HIB REX / Oval garnished shield, C R divided by Welsh plumes above; CHRISTO AVSPICE REGNO. S. 2756. N. 2192. FRC IX/XII. Brooker 242 (same obverse die). Near Extremely Fine; beautiful old tone with hints of multihued luster; unusual with almost full outer circle, exceptional quality flan and, overall, an exceptional crown.
