King on horseback left, holding sword upright; CAROLVS D G MAG BRI FRA ET HI REX / Oval garnished shield surmounted by Welsh plumes; CHRISTO AVSPICE REGNO. S. 2759. N. 2196. FRC XIV/XVIII (pl. XIV and XVII, this coin). Cf. SCBI Brooker 253 (same dies). Near Extremely Fine; well struck with beautiful surfaces and toning. Choice and rare, with an impeccable pedigree.
