King on horseback left, holding sword upright; CAROLVS D G MAGN BRITAN FRAN ET HIBER REX / Crowned garnished shield, C R crowned on sides; CHRISTO AVSPICE REGNO. S. 2852. N. 2298 (North comments on the "finer workmanship"). Good Very Fine; choice coin; slightly short of flan at the bottom, obverse; slight striations on reverse; overall, unusually fresh and even surfaces, more so than the Slaney example sold in May 2015.
