George I. 1714-1727. AR halfcrown. 14.94 gm. 33 mm. 1715 SECVNDO. His laureate and draped bust right / Crowned cruciform shields, roses and plumes in angles. S. 3642. Bull 1550 (R) (ESC 587). Near Extremely Fine; old toning with blue and gold highlights over fresh surfaces with substantial mint bloom; the flan obverse was not smoothly annealed in the center and to the left of the head near the "S" in GEORGIVS; were it not for this a grade of good EF would be more accurate; still, a particularly attractive example of a coin that is scarce in high grades (Note the £4000 valuation of this piece in EF in the Standard Catalog).

The Frank Robinson Collection.
