Waters in his Notes on Eighteenth Century Tokens says that only 72 examples of this piece were struck. A clipping is enclosed which reads "Rare private token; only about 6 dozen struck, some of which are in silver. The edges of all are like No. 1, and in some instances there are only 3 or 4 crosses." (Atkins, 1892)
