LOCAL ISSUES, Silk Road Region. 5th-8th centuries AD. AV Bracteate (20mm, 0.37 g, 12h). Imitating an AV light dinar of the Sasanian king Pērōz (Fīrūz) I. Bust right, wearing crown with two wings, frontal crescent, and korymbos set on crescent, ribbon over each shoulder / Incuse of obverse. Cf. SNS type IIIb/1c (for prototype). VF, some striking fractures, edge a little ragged.
