FRANCE, Royal. Louis XV le Bien-Aimé (the Well-Beloved). 1715–1774. AR Écu au bandeau (41mm, 29.10 g, 6h). Grenoble mint; différents: pellets flanking dolphin/turned over crown. Dated 1749 Z. Bare head left, wearing hair tied with a headband / Crowned round coat-of-arms of France within olive sprays. Duplessy 1680; Ciani 2122; KM 512.25. Good Fine, toned, some scratches on obverse. Very rare. Low mintage of only 4,481.
