GALLIA LUGDUNENSIS(?). Æ Sestertius (34mm, 24.66 g, 6h). Countermark applied during the reign of Nero, AD 54-68(?). PROB(atvm) in a rectangular countermark and N shaped countermark on a bronze sestertius of Claudius. Pangerl 23. Host coin Fine, c/ms VF, rough brown patina.

From the Richard Baker Collection, purchased from Alex Malloy, early 1980s.

A similar countermark was also applied in Hispania, though the Gallic type can be distinguished by the high top on the letter P.
