SELEUCIS and PIERIA, Antioch. temp. Octavian. AR Tetradrachm (25.5mm, 15.42 g, 12h). In the name and types of the Seleucid king Philip I Philadelphus. Dated year 21 of the Caesarean Era (29/8 BC). Diademed head of Philip I right within fillet border / Zeus Nicephorus seated left; monogram to inner left and below throne, KA (date) and thunderbolt in exergue; all within wreath. Prieur 15 var. (AK for date); McAlee 14 var. (same); RPC I 4138 var. (same); SC 2491.11 var. (same); HGC 9, 1360k var. (same). Good VF, toned, a touch of porosity. Rare variety with the date KA instead of AK.
