THESSALY, Larissa. Circa 460-400 BC. AR Trihemiobol (12.5mm, 1.05 g, 7h). Small, round shield with dotted border, having as a central device a bull's hoof to right; all within circle of dots / Λ-A, the nymph Larissa striding left, bouncing ball with right hand; all within shallow incuse square. BCD Thessaly II 365.1; HGC 4, 471. Fine, toned, granular surfaces. Very rare.
