IMP C M AVR CARVS P F AVG, radiate, draped and cuirassed bust right / VIRTVS AVGG, Carus standing right, receiving Victory from Jupiter, standing left; star over A in field, XXI in exergue. RIC 125. The reverse legend AVGGG was used only at the end of Carus' reign, after he had appointed his two sons, Numerian and Carinus, as Augusti.
