ΑΥΤ ΚΑΙ ΝЄΡ ΤΡΑΙΑΝΟС СЄΒ ΓЄΡ (or similar, mostly illegible), laureate head of Trajan right / [ΤΙ]ΒΕΡΙ ΚΛ[ΑΥΔΙ], Hygieia seated right on rock, feeding serpent from patera; [ET] - [AΠ] ( = yr. 81 = A.D. 88/9 ) across field. RPC3 3924; Rosenberger 6. Rough VF, dark patina, ochre highlights, legends weakly struck, two rim nicks.

Hygieia was the daughter of Asklepios and the "mother" of modern Hygiene. This coin was meant to advertise the health benefits of Tiberias' lovely hot springs and was probably modeled after a statue there.
