ISLAMIC, Time of the Rashidun. Pseudo-Byzantine types. Fals (Bronze, 20 mm, 2.63 g, 6 h), imitating a follis of Constans II, uncertain mint, circa 19-39 AH / 641-660 AD. Draped imperial bust facing, wearing crown with cross, holding long cross with her right hand and globus cruciger in his right. Rev. Large m in center; to left, N/N/C; in exergue, II flanked by two waves. H. Pottier, I. Schulze and W. Schulze: 'Pseudo-Byzantine Coinage in Syria under Arab Rule', in: RBN 154 (2008), Pl. VII, Class IV, group b, 3. Very rare. Edge crack, otherwise, very fine.
