ISLAMIC, Time of the Rashidun. Pseudo-Byzantine types. Fals (Bronze, 22 mm, 4.37 g, 12 h), imitating a follis of Constans II, uncertain mint, 24/5-26/7 AH / 645-647 AD. Draped imperial bust facing, wearing crown with cross, holding long cross with his right hand; in upper left field, six-pointed star; in upper right field, crescent; in right field, S. Rev. Large M between blundered legends; above, cross; below; crescent between pellets. Cf. DOCAB 7 for obverse. H. Pottier, I. Schulze and W.
