ISLAMIC, Time of the Rashidun. Pseudo-Byzantine types. Fals (Bronze, 15x21 mm, 2.83 g, 12 h), imitating a follis of Constans II, uncertain mint, circa 24/5-26/7 AH / 645-647 AD. Crowned, bearded and draped bust facing, holding globus cruciger in his right hand. Rev. Large M in center; below, A; around, blundered legend. H. Pottier, I. Schulze and W. Schulze: 'Pseudo-Byzantine Coinage in Syria under Arab Rule', in: RBN 154 (2008), Pl. VII, class III.1b. Very rare and in an exceptional condition for the type. About extremely fine.
