'lla ilah / illa allah / wahdahu' ('There is no God but God alone' in Kufic); around, 'amara bihi 'abd allah al-walid amir al-mu'minin' ('ordered by the Servant of God al-Walid, Commander of the Faithful' in Kufic). Rev. 'muhammad / rasul / allah' ('Muhammad is the Prophet of God' in Kufic); around, 'bism allah duriba hadha'l-fals bi-dimashq fi sana sab' wa thamanin' ('in the name of God this fals was struck in Dimashq in the year seven and eighty' in Kufic).
