SELEUKID KINGS OF SYRIA. Alexander I Balas, 152-145 BC. Drachm (Silver, 18 mm, 4.18 g, 1 h), Antiochia on the Orontes. Diademed head of Alexander I to right. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩ[Σ] / ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ - ΘΕΟΠΑΤΟΡΟΣ / ΕΥΕΡΓΕΤ[ΟΥ] Apollo seated left on omphalos, holding arrow in his right hand and resting his left on grounded bow; to outer left and in exergue, monograms (here off flan). SC 1785. Harshly cleaned and with some corrosion, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
