ARABIA, Northwestern. Lihyan. Circa 2nd-1st centuries BC. Drachm (Silver, 14 mm, 3.24 g, 9 h), imitating Athens. Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with three olive leaves and palmette; on cheek, symbol (mark of value?). Rev. AΘE Owl standing right, head facing; to left, olive sprig and crescent; all within incuse square. CNG 109 (2018), 364. Huth -, cf. 39 (tetradrachm and with a differing symbol on Athena's cheek). Extremely rare. Minor deposits, otherwise, about very fine.
