PERSIA, Achaemenid Empire. Time of Artaxerxes I to Xerxes II, circa 455-420 BC. Siglos (Subaeratus, 13 mm, 4.39 g), irregular mint, imitating Sardes or subsidiary mint. Persian king or hero in kneeling/running stance to right, holding dagger and bow. Rev. Incuse ounch. Cf. BMC Arabia pl. XXVII, 7 and Carradice Type IVa (for prototype). Minor breaks in plating, otherwise, very fine.
