The date on the reverse of this coin reads IHC = 218 in error: it should be HC = 208, which dates the issue to 205/6 AD. When the reverse die was used for Septimius Severus, the mistake was noticed and the die cutter converted the erroneous ЄT IHC into a ЄT•HC .
