MEΣΣAΛINAN Draped bust of Messalina to right. Rev. AIXMOKΛHΣ EΠ ABIOΛA / POMH - EΦE Roma standing facing, head to right, holding scepter in her right hand and cult statue of Artemis Ephesia in her left. RPC I 2632. Very rare. An attractive example of this important issue with a fine portrait. Somewhat smoothed and the obverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, very fine.
