cf.Fr-1301; KM-E440.1. Persian legend on both sides. Well struck with good definition of the inscription. Lustrous with light attractive sunset tone amongst the devices. Taking the throne at the young age of 17, he quickly got rid of the competition who helped him gain power of the already decaying Mughal Empire. He was a big patron of the arts with an emphasis on musical, cultural and administrative developments. The sacking of Deli quickened the pace in which the Empire crumbled.
