INDIA. Maratha Confederacy. Fanam, ND (1754). Kolar Mint. Alamgir II (1754-59). NGC MS-62.
Fr-1312; KM-362. Persian legend in the name of Alamgir II; Reverse: Mint name. He ascended the throne at the age of 55 and having spent most of his life in jail he had no administrative or military experience. He was a weak ruler who delegated all of his power to his vizier, Ghazi-ud-Din Imad-ul-Mulk. Sharply struck on a compact flan with clear nearly complete legends, dark toning and an insignificant edge split missing the most important aspects of the design. An excellent example perfect for the beginner to intermediate collectors looking to fill out their collections.
Estimate: $70.00- $100.00
