Fr-1358. Siva enthroned cross legged with Parvati; Reverse: Devanagari "Sri Pratapa Krishnaray". Krishna Raja Wodeyar III ruled for nearly seventy years. He was a big proponent of literature, language and the arts, specifically music. The kingdom of Mysore saw positive cultural growth under his reign. He was a collector, inventor and expert board game player and is credited for reviving the game of Ganjifa. Well struck and lustrous with lovely sunset tone amongst the devices.
