Fr-357; Mitchiner, South-640; MNI-898. Balakrishna seated facing, chakra in left field, and sankha in right field; Reverse: Devanagari script "Sri Pratapa Krishnaraya". Our first offering of the type that we can recall in recent years. Well struck with signs of handling consistent for the grade. Light attractive orange tone with luster in the protected areas. At the pinnacle of the Vijayanagar empire, Krishna Deva Raja, was considered one of the most powerful Hindu rulers of all time and is now considered an icon by many Indians. After decisively defeating his enemies the Mughal Emerpor Babur took notice and considered him the most powerful on the subcontinent.
