"MANILA" and date fully struck up with dot between, remnants of serration between 10 o'clock and 1 o'clock; Reverse: Crowned arms of Spain partially struck up with "S*D*F" of legend weak at 3 o'clock. Overstrike of typical weak strike leaving much of the under type still visible. Clear host date, assayers letter's, denomination and mintmark. According to our records we have only 8 pieces documented of the Manila 1828 overstikes on this host with the most recent offering being the present example from the Ray Czahor collection sold in our NYINC 2015 auction Lot # 1358.
