Grove-F-197; Med-396; Her-88. Signed "F. Gordillo. F.M." beneath bust. Struck to commemorate the Veracruz Proclamation. Bust of Ferdinand VII right; Reverse: Arms of Veracruz. Our second offering of this medal (the first appeared in our Baltimore auction, November 2015, lot 39377). Well struck with excellent definition of the fine details and signs of handling consistent for the grade. A plethora of hues radiates from the edges and the devices transitioning to the largely untoned open fields. An attractive example sure to see spirited bidding.
