BURUNDI. Banque du Royaume, Provisional Issue. 500 Francs, 1960-61 (1964). P-6. Provisional Issue. PCGS Currency Gem New 65 PPQ.
Provisional Issue. A bright original watermelon colored 500 Francs with the Rhino vignette and a "BURUNDI" overprint found diagonally across the face. PMG has only certified two issued examples for this variety, one in EF 45, and the other in AU 50. This indicates to us that this is likely the finest known example of the type found in a Gem New 65 PPQ.
