CHINA. Qing Dynasty. Jiangsu. 30 Cash, ND (ca. 1851-61). Suzhou Mint. Xian Feng. Graded by Zhong Qian Ping Ji-6 (82).
45.6 mm; 32.2 gms. Hartill-22.916; FD-2467. Obverse: "咸豐寶蘇" (Xiánfēng Zhòng bǎo[Xian Feng Heavenly Treasure]); seven stroke bei; Reverse: "當三十" (Dāng sānshí[Value Thirty]) flanked by Manchu characters for Bǎo sū (寶蘇). This issue is distinguished from Hartill-22.921 by the thick, heavy characters. Minor earthen deposits amongst the devices. An attractive example displaying pleasing deep mottled patina.
