CHINA. Yunnan Sanchuo Jieding. Provincial Three Stamp Remittance Ingots. Silver 4.5 Tael Bank Ingot, ND. EXTREMELY FINE.
171.79 gms. BMC-Class LXVI Group I #873. "Guan Gong Gu Tong She Kan" (Inspected by official public assayers Tong and She). "Guan Gong Gu Zhou Chen Kan" (Inspected by official public assayers Zhou and Chen). "Hu Wan Yi Hao Hui Hao Wen Yin" (Huwanyi Bank, remittance bank fine silver). The left and right outer stamps are deeply impressed with crisp well defined characters further emboldened by flashy original mint luster, though slightly subdued. The central stamp is weak in parts as is usual for this series flanked by nearly complete side middle stamps. A commonly seen square test punch is present in the upper portion of the central stamp appears to be the only major impairment to speak of. Overall a handsomely toned example displaying an attractive mottled grey patina with iridescent hues that pop out when tilted in the light plenty of remaining luster in the protected areas.
