CHINA. Anhwei. 7 Mace 2 Candareens (Dollar), ND (1897). NGC MS-62.
L&M-195; K-49b; Y-45; WS-1071. Dot after "7" variety. Sharply struck, especially when compared to the other MS-62 that we sold in August 2018 (Lot 60033 @ $40,800), with nearly full detail appearing in the dragon's scales as well as all peripheral designs on both sides. Attractively toned as well, the surfaces showcase significant coppery accents with subtle blue and green tone appearing along portions of the legends. VERY RARE in this quality, this being the single finest example of this variety in the NGC population report.
