Fr-10; L&M-1057; K-1527; Y-482; WS-0652. General T'ang Chi-yao. Numeral "1" below tassels. Struck while he was military governor of Yunnan from 1912-1927. Issued to commemorate the general's meritorious deeds during the uprising and his efforts to preserve the Republic. Well struck with abundant luster and very light tool marks to left of bust in an effort to smooth out a few scratches. Despite the noted defect a presentable example perfect for the intermediate collector.
