CHINA. Yunnan. Reverse Struck Through Mint Error Tael, ND (1943-44). NGC MS-61.
L&M-436; KM-A4; WS-0705; Lec-326. VERY SCARCE large deer head variety. Lustrous with pale orange and purple tone over both sides. A relatively minor through in the reverse field is the reason for the NGC "Error" designation. Almost never offered in certified Mint State grade.
