CHINA. Diverse Group of Provincial Crowns (11 Pieces), Ca. 1890-1918. Grade Range: VERY FINE to EXTREMELY FINE.
Group consists of (8) 7 Mace 2 Candareens (Dollar) from Kwangtung ND (1890-1908), L&M-133; Y-203; WS-0941, and a 7 Mace 2 Candareens (Dollar) each from Szechuan ND (1901-08), L&M-345; Y-238.1; WS-0735, inverted "A" in "PROVINCE", and a Yunnan ND (1911), L&M-421; K-169a; Y-258.1; WS-0664. The remaining one coin is a Year 7 (1918) Sar from Sinkiang (L&M-839; K-1267; Y-45.2; WS-1320). The Kwangtung dollars are lightly worn, untoned to dark gray toned, and a few exhibit small chopmarks (one is heavily chopped), including one with a bold and interesting chopmark of what appears to be Nepalese. The Szechuan dollar exhibits moderate wear and light toning. the Yunnan dollar is crisply struck and attractive with light toning. The Sinkiang Sar is weakly struck but with all details visible and exhibits mottled toning. SOLD AS IS/NO RETURNS.
