CHINA. 500 Yuan, 1995. Panda Series. NGC PROOF-68 ULTRA CAMEO.
Fr-B50; KM-728; PAN-241a. Bimetallic issue. Mintage: 199 pieces, serial # 060 stamped on edge, with matching certificate of authenticity. The obverse depicts two pandas sitting next to a stream with the denomination above and bamboo and mountains in the background. The only other issue from this year that shares this same design is the 50 Yuan 5 ounce silver which has a significantly larger mintage. A seldom encountered issue free of tone, haze or fog sure to add depth to the next collection it enters.
