CHINA. Xinhai Revolution 70th Anniversary Medal Set (2 Pieces), 1981. Both NGC Certified.
cf.KM-51. RARE. Two piece gold and silver medal set commemorating the 70th Anniversary of the 1911 Revolution and the Birth of the Republic of China, 1911-1981. Both medals feature a facing bust of Sun Yat-sen, similar to the 1981 gold 400 Yuan struck to commemorate the revolution, with a nearly identical portrait, which itself is quite scarce with a reported mintage of only 1,338 pieces. The gold medal (NGC PF-63 ULTRA CAMEO) has a contact mark or two and the silver medal (NGC PF-64) is deeply toned. With case of issue and certificates of authenticity. Grades range from NGC PROOF-63 DEEP CAMEO to PROOF-64.
