GREAT BRITAIN. Mint Error (Finned Rim) Trade Dollar, 1930. London Mint. George V. PCGS AU-58 Gold Shield.
KM-T5; Mars-BTD1. A highly unusual "finned rim" error, caused during a slightly offset strike, which has resulted in an area on the obverse rim from around six to eight o'clock where edge dentilation is no longer present and a more dramatic cupping appearance that appears on the corresponding portion of the reverse. Attractive quality for the grade, which should make this oddity all-the-more desirable.
From the Mirs Bay Collection.
Estimate: $350.00- $500.00
