ATTICA, Athens. Circa 165-42 BC. AR Tetradrachm (31mm, 16.85 g, 12h). New Style coinage. Ammo– and Dio–, magistrates. Struck 148/7 BC. Helmeted head of Athena Parthenos right / Owl standing right, head facing, on amphora; magistrates' names flanking, MH to lower left, cornucopia to lower right; all within wreath. Thompson 111X (same dies, but before MH erased and new letters engraved); HGC 4, 1602. Good VF, lightly toned, area of flat strike. Rare.
