CARIA, Alabanda(?). Æ (34mm, 17.72 g). Countermark applied under Caracalla, circa 209-211. Letter A before laureate head of Caracalla right in circular countermark on a bronze of Septimius Severus. Cf. Howgego 39ii (for similar but smaller countermark at Alabanda). Host Near Fine, c/m Good Fine, brown patina.
