KINGS of MACEDON. Antigonos I Monophthalmos. As Strategos of Asia, 320-306/5 BC, or king, 306/5-301 BC. AR Drachm (16.5mm, 4.29 g, 11h). In the name and types of Alexander III. Abydos mint. Struck circa 310-301 BC. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; in left field, monogram above prow left; kerykeion to outer right. Price 1543 corr. (prow left, kerykeion in right field); ADM II Series XV, 276 = BM 2002,0101.346 (same rev. die; Hersh coin referred to by Price for 1543). Near EF, toned, compact flan.

This coin is struck from the same reverse die as the Hersh coin that Price refers to (now BM 2002,0101.346). That coin was off center, obscuring the presence of the kerykeion.
