S. & I./ WAKEFORD/ 1812 in five lines within an oak wreath. Edge: center grained \\\\\\. W 1; TB 1-2. Good VF, brown surfaces, some scratches on reverse, a few minor rim bruises.

According the The Token Book, "William Steele Wakeford issued a copper penny token in 1812. He died in 1819. The bank, managed by his sons, collapsed in 1826. Its final dividend was paid in March 1827."
