KINGS OF SOPHENE. Arsames I, circa 255-225 BC. Dichalkon (Bronze, 17 mm, 3.29 g, 11 h), third series. Diademed and draped bust of Arsames to left, wearing cylindrical tiara decorated with jewels. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΡΣΑΜΟΥ Eagle standing right on thunderbolt. ACV 16. CAA -. Kovacs 8 (same dies). Deep green-brown patina with some light green highlights. Obverse weakly struck as usual, otherwise, very fine.
