KINGS OF SOPHENE. Mithradates II Philopator, ca. 89 - after 85 BC. Dichalkon (Bronze, 17 mm, 4.24 g, 6 h), Arkathiokerta (?). Diademed head of Mithradates to left, wearing bashlyk. Rev. BACI MIΘ (retrograde) around club. ACV -. CSC -. Kovacs 35 this obverse die. Dark green glossy patina; extremely rare type and apparently unpublished prior to Kovacs in 2016. Obverse slightly off center, otherwise, very fine.
