KINGS OF ARMENIA. Tigranes II 'the Great', 95-56 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 26 mm, 15.03 g, 12 h), Tigranokerta, c. 80-68. Diademed and draped bust of Tigranes to right, wearing tiara decorated with star between two eagles. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΤΙΓΡΑΝΟΥ Tyche of Tigranokerta seated right on rock, holding laurel branch in extended right hand; below, river-god Araxes swimming to right; on rock, cruciform monogram; in field to right, Φ; all within wreath. CAA 20. SCADA Group 3. Kovacs 71.2. Well centered. Slightly rough as usual, otherwise, good very fine.
