KINGS OF SOPHENE. Arsames I, circa 255-225 BC. Dichalkon (Bronze, 19 mm, 3.55 g, 11 h), first series. Diademed and draped bust of Arsames I to left, wearing bashlyk with beaded edges. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΡΣΑΜΟΥ Head of a horse to right. ACV -. CAA -. Kovacs 3 var ( this reverse die but head to right ). Extremely rare. Apparently unpublished and with a most interesting die link with Kovacs 3. Good very fine.
