OTTOMAN EMPIRE, early to mid 19th century, short knife in the shape of a small yataghan is also known as a bichaq, with a single edge blade 21cm long, forged from pattern welded steel in the pattern known as 'Turkish Ribbon', with a chased silver handle and scabbard, total length including scabbard 34.5cm. A few forging flaws on the blade, otherwise very fine.
