Scots Guards. on second medal, 2383 Pte W.Tait. S.Gds. on last three medals. All medals impressed. Contact marks on some medals, all but second ribbon damaged, otherwise very fine.

Records show that 2383 Pte A.Tait, 1st Bn Scots Guards was wounded at Modder River 28Nov1899. Note the initial A instead of W.
